Commissioned Projects

Citywall has repeatedly designed effective projects to meet the requirements of commissioners, partners, and the local community. We value partnership working, and we listen to the concerns and wisdom of our stakeholders to create new offers to address specific needs. So far, this has included:

AP Taskforce

Citywall work alongside a multi-agency taskforce at Clifton PRU to support the complex needs of their cohort. We work flexibly with the task force team to provide 1:1 mentoring and family support. The offer is primarily for those with significant barriers to learning or well-being which mean that engaging with universal or specialist services would be problematic. Provision should lead towards greater engagement in education and preparation for further learning and/or employment in the future. The model is built around building rapport with a trusted adult in a 1:1 setting.

Post-16 Transition

This project provides 1:1 mentoring support to young people from the Local Authority Pupil Referral Unit, making the transition from year 11 into post-16 education and training. This project was originally funded by the DfE during the COVID pandemic, and the primary focus was to ensure that the young people successfully accessed post-16 education and training.

Foundations

The Foundations Project works directly with young victims of crime, anti-social behaviour, bullying, exploitation or abuse. Its purpose is to support young people to emotionally process and cope with their experiences, thereby building confidence, self-esteem and resilience, and ensuring well-being.

Primary Transition

Our primary transition project is for children and young people in the final years of primary or early years of secondary school. It offers 1:1 or small group mentoring to prepare them for the transition to high school.

The project supports young people to identify their strengths, to learn coping strategies to manage difficult situations, and to empower them to overcome barriers. It prepares and equips them for the changes they will experience while transitioning to high school, and it provides opportunities for them to ask questions and to explore ways to positively engage with their education.
