Refresh

Refresh is an early intervention and prevention project for young people with emotional well-being and mental health needs. Regular 1:1 mentoring sessions offer timely support, to prevent concerns escalating and to enable young people to thrive.

Young people are supported to identify their strengths, to access resources, and to learn new coping strategies to build resilience and self-esteem. Opportunities are provided to emotionally process adverse experiences and to find ways to positively move forward. Young people are helped to identify their future aspirations, and the work as a whole promotes education, family cohesion, physical activity and healthy relationships.

Intervention periods typically last for around four months, but are flexible depending on the need of each individual.
